Social Sponsoring during Christmas Season 2022
As we already did in the previous years, we wanted to do something good with a donation during Christmas time this year – but right on our doorstep. As part of our Christmas party, we created advent calendars for refugee children in Efringen-Kirchen in a great teamwork and handed them over in a small event. We wish the children, who have already experienced a lot, a happy and carefree Christmas time and bright future! In another campaign, we supported the local football club with training equipment for childs and youth training, as we also see social responsibility for the future of our children here. We hope we were able to do something good on a small scale.
Sponsoring for VBG Efringen-Kirchen Volleyball Team
Recently Unifiller Europe GmbH started sponsoring the male volleyball team of VBG Efringen-Kirchen and sponsored 2 complete sets of new competition shirts. In this way we support club sports, an important pillar of our society for all ages and performance levels. We keep our fingers crossed for the team for the coming season.
Plant for the Planet
Plant-for-the-Planet is a global movement to restore forest ecosystems to tackle the climate crisis and biodiversity loss. Trees capture CO2 from the atmosphere and store the carbon in their leaves, stems, and roots, eventually increasing the carbon stored in soil. The organization’s goal is to protect the world’s three trillion trees and bring back a further one trillion trees. With our donation we also make a contribution to minimizing the global warming.
Förderverein for children with cancer Freiburg e.V.
The association his doing everything possible to help children with cancer and their families. It is an interaction of many components that determine the chances of recovery for each individual child. Research must be advanced, medical and personal care must be improved, but above all families who fear for the life of their child must be supported and cared for. Since the association was founded 40 years ago, all donations flowed into the parents’ house and the association’s projects. It is an affair of the heart for us to support the organization and thus help the affected children and families.
Tafel Deutschland
Despite still being perfectly edible, tons of food are destroyed in Germany every day. At the same time, there are millions of people in this country who do not have enough to eat. The Tafel are working on bridging this gap between excess on the one hand and lack on the other. They collect qualitatively good food that would otherwise land in the garbage and distribute it for free or a symbolic amount to socially and economically disadvantaged people. There are currently more than 960 Tafel in Germany. All of them are nonprofit organizations. The Tafel support more than 2 million people in need of food throughout the country – nearly one third of them are children and youth. Only food that is donated to the Tafel can be distributed to those in need; no food is purchased. Rent, transport and administrative costs of the Tafel are covered by private donations and the business community including companies like us.
